The Ellen MacArthur Foundation has identified five universal circular economy policy goals to enable a cooperative cross-sector and private transition that fosters public innovation and leaves behind unsustainable consumption and production patterns, as well as environmental degradation.
Policies are interconnected and by aligning ourselves at the national and international levels, the risk of them remaining isolated in a ‘take-make-waste’ economic system that must be left behind will be minimized.
